BG Advanced Masking Tools for FCPX

Feel limited by Final Cut Pro X’s masking options? FCPeffects.com has created yet another excellent plugin that can help solve that problem.

BG Advanced Masking Tools allow you to easily mask a selection of video and gives you the customization you need to get the desired effect.

I love the amount of control FCPeffects.com gives me – I can adjust anything from roundness to feather to edge blur and more! In addition to adjusting the mask, there are also options for gradients and color tints. It’s so much more than just a basic mask effect. In just a few minutes I was able to create an elegant effect for a video I needed to make for a client; in the end, the client was impressed. My hat is off for the folks over at FCPeffects.com, they really did a good job with this one.

Why should I pay this much if I can use the 8 mask tool from fpc.co for free ?

  Well, you could use the free 8-point one or you could use FCPeffects 12-point plugin which also includes several other tools combined as mentioned above and shown in the video.

One of the features that is not in the video that really makes our plugin stand out is the ability to keyframe the position of the mask (new in version 1.2). This makes it incredibly easy to mask objects as they move around your frame.

And how can I add more than 12 points of masking??? and how about keyframing the position of each point????

Unfortunately you cannot add more than 12 points or keyframe the position of each point using this plugin. Hopefully with the release of the next Final Cut Pro X update, these features will be possible.
